How to Get Started

Iconico Developer Partner
The first step is to tell us a bit about yourself and your software. We'll discuss what we can do for you and if we're in agreemenr we will send you a copy of our Developer Partner contract for your application.

The contract specifies a timescale that we will be partnering for, we recommend a year, however we understand that some developers may want to commit to less time as a trial period. We will return a copy of the countersigned contract after we have received it from you.
Setting Up Payment
Iconico uses the eSellerate ecommerce system in our webstore. eSellerate handles the credit card payment for us, and as we will be selling your application in the store we need you to sign up with eSellerate so that they can pay you.

eSellerate has no setup fees and no maintenance fees. Payments are made monthly via ACH, international ACH, or international wire transfer from eSellerate to you, note that Iconico does not handle payments. For the international payment options a threshold of $100 needs to be attained for payment, otherwise the payment is rolled over into the next month. Domestic payments have no monthly threshold. The only fees that apply are for international payments; currently ACH is no charge, International ACH is $5, and International Wire Transfer is $15, these are eSellerate's fees and not charged by Iconico. ACH stands for Automated Clearing House, and is the US direct deposit system that banks use, more info in ACH.

Step 2:

After you have signed up with eSellerate go to your "My Account" page in the eSellerate SplitPay system. At the top of that page will be your SplitPay ID, beginning in "PYE" and followed by some numbers. We need you to send us that SplitPay ID.

After we have received your SplitPayID we will create an SKU for your application in the eSellerate system and link your splitpay account. You will be able to see this in the 'My Products' report in the SplitPay system.

At the bottom of that same 'My Account' page is listed some links to Form W-9 and Form W-8BEN. In order for eSellerate to pay you they need you to fill out one of these forms, depending on if you are located in the US. Please follow the instructions detailed on that page about how to fill out the form and where to send it.

Step 4c: Download correct form, fill out and fax or mail to eSellerate.

After this has been done Iconico needs to do some work getting the marketing material, website text, database entries and graphics ready. If your application is ready to go we will aim to get this done in about a week.
Existing Websites and Applications
Many developers that partner with us already have a website up and may be using an alternate payment processor. If this is the case we ask that you suspend payment processing using your existing provider while you are partnered with Iconico. We also ask that you redirect your website traffic to your new Iconico application homepage when it is set up.

We do this as we will be taking on the entire process of support for your application and we don't want to create a situation which may confuse the users. Iconico is not just another shopping cart system, we're an entire business solution. Our product pages will be written to convert more visitors to purchase the software and optimized for search engines.
Application Links
Applications do not exist on their own, and we need for you to enter in some special links for your users. We will contact you with these links that will be used to direct users to the application homepage, webstore page and uninstall page. We may have more links for you depending on your application.
Ongoing Partnership
One of the things you'll notice from partnering with Iconico is that we have some great users who link to tell us what they think of our new applications. As promised we will deal with any support requests, however some users may be quick to find bugs and suggest new features. We will forward on these requests to you and while you don't have to respond we strongly suggest that you do in order to make your application better. From time to time we may put you in direct communication with a user if a bug is particularly hard to deal with, our users are normally very obliging in helping us track down those hard to find bugs and we thank them for it.
