After you've installed the Cardio Calipers you should find using the tool straightforward. You can use the tips below to get the most out of the Cardio Calipers and measure like a pro.
Place the curser anywhere on the horizontal bar, left click the mouse and hold, then move the mouse, dragging the entire caliper to the desired position.
Place the curser at the intersection of the horizontal bar and the right vertical bar. Left click the mouse, and hold, then drag the arm of the caliper to its desired position.
Adjust the calipers to measure 20 Millimeters on the EKG. Click the 'Set' button or choose 'Set Calibration to 20mm' from the Calipers menu. The Caliper units will now be correctly calibrated for the EKG.
Click the 'mm' units display on the face of the Calipers or press the 'U' key on the keyboard to cycle through the available units: millimeters, Heart Rate in BPM, milliSeconds, and milliVolts. If Heart Rate is chosen then the correct readout will appear when an entire complex is measured from P to P or R to R.
Type "+" (the plus sign) and any number, then press Enter, and that number will be added and the caliper measurement will move to that new number. Subtraction, multiplication and division can also be accomplished using the "-", "*" and "/" keys.
To Use the Calipers drag them over the portion of a EKG you want to measure using the mouse. To extend the calipers drag the right hand side out using the mouse. The number in the text box will show the space being measured.
The Calipers have several buttons which may appear differently on different skins. The arrow buttons on the slider will allow you to move and rotate the Calipers to measure any distance. The Diagonally downward pointing arrow hides the Calipers in the System Tray.
